Here are a few common questions about Olson Lifestyle. Please feel free to contact your Lifestyle Designer for any additional information.
No. Your design sessions are complimentary. While there is a cost to many of the options and upgrades you might select, the consultations you receive from your Lifestyle Designer are just another benefit of purchasing a new Olson home.
First you’ll want to make sure you set aside enough time. Personalizing a new home is a big job, so you’ll likely need several design sessions of about 2 hours each. It’s also best if you can arrange for childcare. Children are welcome at the Lifestyle Centers but consultations tend to be more focused and productive when you make other arrangements. Also, start thinking about ideas that you’d like to see in your new home. Clip pictures and patterns from magazines. Bring along any accessories like pillows, curtains or rugs that you already know you’ll be using in your new home. Lastly, remember to bring along your checkbook for any necessary deposits, which are typically 20%.
Since you’re purchasing a brand new home, options and upgrades will be integrated at various stages of your home’s construction. Therefore, you’ll have several key dates to make decisions throughout the process. The timeline included with your Olson Lifestyle welcome kit lists Decision Milestones as general guidance as to what decisions must be made and when. Log in to our Online Design Studio to view the specific cut-off dates for your individual home. Keep track of these important dates to be sure that you make all your selections on time.
No. Our Online Design Studio simply enables you to browse the wide array of options for your home at your convenience. Although building wish lists will help both you and your Lifestyle Designer identify which options and upgrades are most attractive to you, only your Lifestyle Designer can process and order your final selections. The time that you invest building a wish list on our Online Design Studio will pay off by allowing you to focus your design sessions on personalizing your home as opposed to seeing what's available for the first time.
